WELCOME TO COATS

Council of Analytical Tribal Studies (COATS) is a premier research-cum-academic institute in the field of tribal studies. The institute was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Late Biju Patnaik on 9th January, 1993. It is located at district headquarters town of Koraput in South Odisha. COATS is a registered body under Societies Registration Act of 1860 bearing No.712/82 of 1991-92. It is empanelled by Government of Odisha in the Planning and Coordination Department and affiliated to Berhampur University.

The Council of Analytical Tribal Studies (COATS) is a research organization located in the town of Koraput, in the state of Odisha, India.
